Saint Anne’s School Families,
It is hard to believe that we are about to begin our Third Trimester here at Saint Anne’s School. There was so much preparation during the summer months to have our school reopen and since its reopening our entire community has taken diligent care of our practices to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. I applaud our faculty, staff, and our student body for doing their best to preserve our wonderful school. Navigating the new health guidelines while also successfully adapting to virtual learning, when necessary, is something of which we should be proud.
Maintaining the healthy status of our school is by no means an easy task, but we do it, and we do it well. We are in compliance with the regulations set out by the New York State Department of Health and the Nassau County Department of Health. Perrotta Consulting has provided a plethora of resources for our community, even responding to off hour calls and requests. The Morning Star Initiative and the Department of Education in the DIocese of Rockville Centre have also given us support in the way of social emotional learning, best practices, and even supplies and technology. With their support we have been able to succeed these past several months.
At this time, we would like to remind families of the importance of our daily health questionnaire. To maintain our compliance with New York State regulations, Saint Anne’s School has provided an easily accessible, and user friendly, Health Questionnaire through PickUp Patrol. When families complete this daily questionnaire we are able to ensure that those who are on our campus are healthy enough to do so. By truthfully answering these questions and staying home when you do not meet the criteria to attend school, we help to continue to make Saint Anne’s School a safe place for children to learn. We also would like to remind families that reporting positive cases to Nurse Marie allows us to conduct effective contact tracing which has proven a successful practice in keeping our community safe.
As we have issued around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Midwinter Break holidays a travel guidance will be forthcoming for the Easter Break. This is under the guidance of Perrotta Consulting and is anticipated to be out in late March. Following this guidance will help keep our community safe.
The school administration would like to thank you for your continued cooperation during these times. Please know that your families remain in our prayers.
God bless,
