Welcome to Pre-k !
The beginning weeks of school will focus on building relationships with our school family and establishing rules and routines of our classroom. We are looking forward to an amazing year in Pre-K!
During the first trimester of our year, which runs from September through November, we engage in many hands-on, developmentally appropriate practices incorporating reading, writing, math, religion, science, and religion! Our focus for these months are The Social Environment which includes topics including:
Math:
Throughout the year the children will know number names and the count sequence, count to tell the number of objects, compare numbers, understand simple patterns, and sort objects and count the number of objects in each category.

We will be learning about different weather conditions, the characteristics of autumn and researching apples. We provide various STEM activities and experiments including:
-building names with big lines/little lines/big curves/little curves
-creating self portraits with playdough and loose parts
-create apple tree using loose parts
-making scented playdough
RELIGION:
